Tacteris announced today that it has been awarded a research and development contract under the Innovative Solutions Canada Program, sponsored by Defence Research & Development Canada (DRDC) and the Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP). The aim of this contract is to develop innovative software to support Canada’s diverse community of emergency response agencies.
A significant technology gap has been identified in the tracking, distribution, and management of equipment, supplies, and personnel during emergencies, especially during large-scale incidents requiring a multi-agency response. Tacteris will develop web-based design concepts to address the resource logistics challenge. The focus will be on streamlined workflows that enable civilian and government agencies to pool resources effectively during operations. A secure, on-demand shared resource repository, accessible from any mobile device, will also be developed. “Never before has the need for sustained and streamlined coordination between different agencies been so critical to safeguarding the health and safety of Canadians,” said Sundeep Kharey, Vice President at Tacteris. “We’re working directly with our nation’s emergency response personnel to understand their needs on the frontlines, and we aim to deliver powerful tools that can provide a decisive advantage during a crisis.” For more information, please contact Tacteris here.
