The Tacteris Maestro Enterprise military operations software was utilized by the Polish Armed Forces to conduct a Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) drill for the upcoming ANAKONDA-18 exercise. By special invitation from the Armed Forces Operational Command, Tacteris specialists collaborated directly with Polish exercise planners to develop 3D visualizations of the scheme of maneuver using the Maestro software. For the first time, a fully digital walk-through of the plan was presented, incorporating the air, land, and maritime components of this joint, multinational exercise.
ANAKONDA-18 is Poland’s largest military exercise, aiming to integrate national and allied command structures to conduct a strategic defense operation against conventional and hybrid threats. Soldiers and equipment from 10 NATO nations are involved, with 17,500 troops participating across the territories of Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Baltic Sea. “The scope and level of interagency involvement create unique challenges for planners,” said Sean Dunn, CEO of Tacteris. “The Polish military is seeking innovative solutions to persistent challenges, such as the reliance on PowerPoint and other generic software for planning. Using Maestro for this ROC drill ultimately saved weeks of manual effort and provided a much more realistic visualization of the operation.” Operational Commander of the Armed Forces, Major General Tomasz Piotrowski, presented a plaque recognizing Tacteris for supporting the exercise, which is scheduled to take place between November 7 and December 6, 2018.
